Director of Design Services Kent is an award-winning architect who holds a Bachelors degree in Environmental Design from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Masters Degree in Architecture with emphasis in energy efficiency from the University of New Mexico. Kent has worked in sustainable architecture since 1993 and has expertise in the area of energy, water, and resource efficient design.  His innovative design work includes custom commercial & residential projects, veterinary, medical, hospitality, and master planning projects. Kent specializes in sustainable design and sustainability consulting, which includes site assessments as well as creative and project specific recommendations for appropriate non-toxic, rapidly renewable, recycled, regional, and re-usable building materials.  Kent is currently a member of the US Green Building Council, is the current Co-chair Sustainability Week Committee USGBC New Mexico Chapter, and a former member of the New Mexico Sustainable Energy Collaborative.  Kent plays and active role in raising the environmental awareness of design professionals, developers, and others in the field by leading sustainable design charettes and lecturing on Sustainable building and sustainable living.
