portfolio / Lindner/McGee Residence

Albuquerque, New Mexico

Located within the historic north campus area, this contemporary Mediterranean addition remodel is within walking distance to many of the cities finest restaurants, retail shopping districts and schools. Designed with entertaining in mind, the 1,600 square foot addition is bathed in bright colors and sleek, modern detailing. Careful planning utilizes the sites natural conditions, allowing the owners to take advantage of cross ventilation, thermal heat storage and day lighting. Design decisions coupled with thoughtful material and appliance choices, including rapidly renewable bamboo floors, locally engineered lumber where possible, and non-toxic finishes and paints, make this home both energy efficient, and inexpensive to heat and cool.
